Course Description

Learn Programming with Java

This course is conceived for people with little to no experience in programming. We will start with the very basics of programming and work our way up to writing our own object oriented programs. If you already have some experience in programming and want to learn Java, you are also welcome to take the course. But keep in mind that the pace might feel slow.

Learning Outcomes (hopefully)
  • the basics of computer programming
  • and object oriented programming
  • the ability to plan and implement (small) programs
  • understanding UML class diagrams

  • at the moment the plan is to hold the lessons in German but we can switch to English if it is preferred
  • Matrix Room for easy communication

  • or bring your own Laptop if you want (preferable with VS Code and Java JDK 11 (or higher) installed)
